The first race will be a pivotal moment as top pilots from around the world—alongside promising newcomers—battle for dominance in AIR RACE X Series competition.

A New Season, A New Wave of Challengers

Set against the backdrop of Fukushima, this Remote Race (broadcast-only format) will set the tone for the season.

The bold, high-stakes flights will not only ignite intense rivalries but also lay the groundwork for unexpected twists and compelling drama from the season’s onset. For new generation pilots, it presents the perfect opportunity to challenge the best and prove their skills on the global stage.

Watch the action live on AIR RACE X YouTube—where the world’s elite pilots will push the limits in a battle decided by mere thousandths of a second.

New Generation Pilot: Aarron Deliu – Australia’s Rising Star Ready to Take Flight

One name to watch in the 2025 season is Aarron Deliu, an ambitious Australian pilot making his debut in AIR RACE X. Known for his relentless pursuit of perfection, Aarron embodies the philosophy of “Expanding Limits”—constantly pushing boundaries and refining his aerial mastery.

Based in Florida, USA, Aarron has built a stellar career as an aerobatic pilot, performing in airshows across the country. His journey began at age 14 when he first fell in love with the sky. By 15, he was soaring solo in a glider, and by 16, he had already taken the controls of an aircraft alone.

His competitive record speaks for itself: Aarron was crowned Australian National Aerobatic Champion, achieved the highest-ever placement for an Australian at the 2022 World Aerobatic Championships, and secured victories in both the 2023 Sky Grand Prix and the 2024 Air Masters Cup, where freestyle aerobatics meets high-speed racing. Having earned a spot in the Challenger Class of the World Championship Series, he now steps up to the global air racing arena in AIR RACE X. Don’t miss his highly anticipated debut!

Aarron Deliu’s Racing Philosophy: “Calm. Crisp. Clean.”

For Aarron, air racing is more than competition—it is an art form. His approach is rooted in precision and composure:
“AIR RACE X is not just a race; it’s the ultimate expression of speed, skill, and beauty in flight. I see every race as a chance to break new ground, to go beyond limits. Being called ‘The Aviator’ isn’t about flying an aircraft—it’s about achieving absolute mastery of the skies. I’m excited to see how far I can push myself in AIR RACE X.”

Fukushima Hosts the Season Opener & Public Viewing Event

The 2025 AIR RACE X season opener will take place in Fukushima—home to Yoshihide Muroya, the first-ever AIR RACE X champion and Japan’s premier air racing pilot. The Fukushima Sky Park will host a special public viewing event, giving fans a unique opportunity to experience the excitement together. (Event participation details to be announced soon.)

Having risen from the challenges of the Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear disaster, Fukushima continues its journey of revitalization—embodying the very spirit of AIR RACE X’s “Expand Limits” vision.

Muroya, a symbol of perseverance and progress, is also launching the second phase of his “Race Pilot Program,” a unique initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of elite air race pilots. As he pursues a consecutive Championship title, Muroya remains deeply committed to fostering the future of the sport.

Yoshihide Muroya’s Comment:
“As both a competitor and a proud representative of Fukushima, I’m thrilled to see AIR RACE X’s third season kick off here. Fourteen years after the earthquake, Fukushima continues to push forward, and I hope to deliver my best performance to honour that spirit. At Fukushima Sky Park, we’ll also be hosting a public viewing event where fans can experience the race excitement firsthand. Since our flights will already be completed, I’m looking forward to enjoying the event alongside the fans!”

What is AIR RACE X?

A next-generation motorsport redefining air racing through innovative digital technology expanding limits.

AIR RACE X fuses three distinct race formats-Remote, Digital, and Live- to create a groundbreaking global series. Using AR (Augmented Reality) and Digital Twin technology, AIR RACE X brings high-speed air racing to locations previously impossible to host a live event.

Three Revolutionary Race Formats:

1. Remote Race (Broadcast-Based Competition)
Leveraging AR and Digital Twin technology, pilots fly identical courses in their respective locations. The flight data is then merged into a single immersive broadcast, allowing fans worldwide to experience the race in real-time. The 2024 Tokyo Remote Race featured pilots tearing through Asakusa and the Sumida River at 400 km/h.

➡ Watch on the official AIR RACE X YouTube channel (free streaming).

2. Digital Race (Augmented Reality Viewing)
Digital Races incorporate AR, recreating flight paths in real-world cityscapes using XR (Extended Reality). In 2023 and 2024, spectators in Shibuya witnessed high-speed race planes soaring overhead via AR. A new frontier in immersive sports entertainment.

3. Live Race (Real-World Air Racing)
Spectators experience actual race aircraft performing at extreme speeds and precision in a traditional live competition format.
