Patrick Davidson

Born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Patrick Davidson grew up immersed in aviation. With his father also a pilot, flying was part of his life from an early age — a path that quickly developed into competitive success. He entered flying competitions at 12 and completed his first solo flight at 17, establishing himself early as a pilot with exceptional ability.

Davidson has built an outstanding record in aerobatic competition, including six South African national titles, before progressing onto the international stage. He entered air racing through the Challenger Class and steadily developed into one of the most complete and consistent competitors in the sport.

His defining moment came in the 2025 AIR RACE X season.

Winning both the opening round and the season finale, Davidson controlled the championship from start to finish to secure the overall title, establishing himself as the leading pilot on the grid.

That mindset is reflected in his flying — composed, confident, and highly effective under pressure.

In 2026, Davidson returns as the defending AIR RACE X Champion.
